The Field between Mount Meru and Jambu-Dvipa Progress Report Saturday 22nd March 1980 9.03 a.m. and later. Total time: one hour and 22 minutes Dictation: Now Johann, Another chapter in our history of the Great Mandala of the Universe! Last time it was the breath-taking and almost annihilating view of the World Axis – Mount Meru. This time it is an effort of you both to establish the meaning of the field between Mount MERU and the Jambu-dvipa (Tibetan Dzambu-ling) i.e. this world of Earth inhabited by human beings. Now let me again make a few general remarks. The Dalai Lama was once asked why the Tibetans believed the earth was square, even after the exploration of outer space with photos of the earth. He assured his listeners that there was no harm in taking the physical shape of the earth to be a globe, but they would come nearer to the Truth if they accepted the view that this Universe of human habitat was square. What did his Holiness mean? Was he just being stubborn? Well Johann, you had a taste of it these last days as you explored on your own some pictures of the Mandala of the Universe as seen by the great Mahayana Buddhist yogis! There is one in your book “Tibetan Tantric Charms and Amulets” No. 71 and this is most useful to you! You have here enough to whet your appetite! first the square in the very centre; this being surrounded by three larger ones; then an all-encompassing one comprising 7 regions with mountains and seven with oceans. After all this you come at last to reach Jambu-dvipa, the Continent of the SOUTH. Now Johann: the book gives you a hint as to the esoteric meaning of these mountains and seas: the seven mountain-ranges are symbols of your inner psychic structure (chakras) i.e. your subtle body. The seven-fold pattern of the oceans refers to your physical body or the elements thereof (flesh, blood, skin, bone, marrow, semen and rasa-essence (sentiment)). In your preliminary tests – i.e. before going into the matter together with JANET – you actually obtained some results: the mountains were connected with the chakras of the heart, navel and base of spine – but mainly with levels above the head. Each mountain range seemed to belong to a higher level than the previous one counting from the centre outwards (Causal Body – Spiritual – Divine – Cosmic Mental etc.). In each case you experienced a ‘beat’ of three. (Triple Jambu-dvipa continent?) In addition, when using your symbols for Ningje and Sherab, the mountain ranges were in tune with Cosmic planes reaching up to the ADI. So what your book has told you made sense: Between Mount MERU and the “home continent” of MAN, there are energy flows helping your chakras to contact the highest spiritual planes! And the pattern of seven seas? Well here you obtained results again from the centre outwards as described above. Only the seas seemed to be tied level-wise to the ETHERIC plane. Now Johann, we have suggested you should find out more about the interconnection between Jambu-Dvipa (on the outer ring of the Mandala) and the intervening ranges of mountains and seas to the outermost square of MERU. Actually you had learnt your lesson when testing the “Essence” of the World Axis! In the case at hand, you had to deal with forces stretching into the distant past (and distant future let me tell you!) that produce and uphold the history and fate of MANKIND, nothing more – nothing less. Hence – since both your main interests lie in the Spiritual Universal aspects (and how to share their very Essence), you decided to view these in your test experiences – in close association with Kuan-Yin and also making use of the Cosmic (!) symbolic “lenses” of LOVE and WISDOM. Let me make another general comment: Your type of investigation into the nature of this world is not a Western scientific one, but a spiritual exploration of BEING! As a result you will have to face multi-dimensional structures that do not make too much sense to your logical brain! For instance you may come across the fact that processes register on the outward ring of the mandala (that is away from the centre of Mount Meru) while being in fact extremely close to Mount Meru. “Sheer Rubbish” your brain will say. And yet it is cold logic once you work multi-dimensional media. When you lived in the lovely high-rise in Washington, Johann, and wanted to visit your friends on the 16th floor, you had to take the lift to reach their apartment. Now in order to do this it was unavoidable to walk down a very long corridor to the lift. Once there you were whisked up to the 16th floor from whence it was only a short distance to reach the apartment. Now: the main point in getting to your friends was not so much the walk down the corridor, but the movement in another dimension (going up in the lift). Suppose that this upward movement (in the 3rd dimension) were beyond your dimensional grasp, you would then face exactly the same problem you are experiencing now with the Mandala of the Universe: in cases when you walk away from its centre, in order to get there! Sorry about this conundrum, but it happens to be a fact and one you will often come across as long as your brain is still confined to a 3-dimensional pattern of comprehension. Now in your tests with the 3D specs on! Their results were “gentle” this time, but by no means easy to understand. Even so we went to express our highest admiration of JANET’s efforts since she had to deal with the sheer impossible task of finding a “symbolic expression” for processes that simply transcend human thought totally. To use the same simile again: JANET had to use symbols which your brain understands (the long walk along the corridor) and then “straddle” the dimensional shift (going up in the lift) as the latter lies beyond human comprehension. The result was that she came out with symbols most of which make perfect sense, but to really understand them you both had to “expand” their meaning (level and dimension-wise) so as to obtain a hint of the real background. So let us begin: After uniting with Kuan-Yin and focusing on Ningje and Sherab, JANET had a series of visions (seven in all) concerning the Spiritual Evolution of MAN. Some subject, considering that any spiritual process lies beyond description in human terminology. Before describing shortly each of her visionary pictures, a word about Johann’s reactions. These were straight forward. As the visions appeared, he reacted at once experiencing the typical “beat” wave of 20 but in no case were the beats spelled out fully (108 etc). It was as if they began on a High Cosmic level (Cosmic Mental), and then the activity veered to other planes. Except that at the very end the beat once again took over flowing into torrents of movement, sound and light indicating a process on the Cosmic ADI plane. When Johann “came to” having been through this tornado of energies, he was surprised to see the “long way” they had both traveled through the spiritual history of mankind! Vision (1) Beat Pattern taken from the Picture Level Beat of "1" COSMIC MENTAL and Divine Vision (2) Beat of "2" COSMIC MENTAL and Divine Vision (3) Beat of "3" COSMIC MENTAL and Divine Visions (4), (5) and (6) were somehow interconnected. Vision (4) Beat of "7" Cosmic Mental HUMAN MONAD Vision (5) Beat of 3 times “7” Cosmic Mental Divine HUMAN MONAD Vision (6) Beat of 7 times “7” Cosmic Mental Divine HUMAN MONAD Vision (7) Beat of 20 changing into a torrent of vibration ADI Divine a: Causal Body b: Cosmic ADI Cosmic Monadic Cosmic Mental c: VOID (ADI) a plus b: Cosmic Mental Divine HUMAN MONAD Human CAUSAL BODY Transformation into the radiantly pure Enlightenment-Consciousness The explanation for all these lovely symbols is fairly straight forward: - Visions (1) – (3): Cell, tortoise, bird: are hints at the beginning of the evolution originating from the COSMIC MENTAL Plane (Causal Body of a Solar Logos). What you would call life “arising from the primordial swamp” through Divine assistance. (note that the levels are invariably COSMIC MENTAL and Divine). This evolution (in the spiritual sense) becomes visible through the increasing “beat” pattern. Vision (4) – (6) concern the human MONAD. Vision (4) shows the energy field of the left NADI, Vision (5) of the right and Vision (6) of all three NADIS including the Sushumna, being United. It is significant that in Vision (6) – the Union of the Three NADIS - Janet remarked: “It was as if masses of energy (spiritual) were moving in three tremendous flows into a minute point!” An excellent description of the process awakening the THIRD EYE! We shall come across the Third Eye again in the final Vision (the Ajna Chakra as step ladder to the ADI) where we see three elements working in union: The “point”, Third Eye, or an Awakened Causal Body (a); The Cosmic “Impulse” driving towards Enlightenment (b); The VOID, encompassing the flight of the Soul to the Cosmic Ground of All Being (c); It was when visualizing the section (b) that JANET felt a “shock of surprise” at a totally new development. This was – what the Tibetans describe as – the Great Dakini (Khadoma), the driving force embedded in the deepest recesses of the human mind providing the irresistible impetus and impulse to reach Enlightenment. This in short is the summary explanation of the “fields” between Mount MERU and Jambu-dvipa. The 7 mountain ranges of the Spirit and the seven aspects of the ‘body of man serving as vehicles for the use of these spiritual powers to attain Enlightenment. Again the field itself – from Mount Meru region to the Jambu-dvipa Continent is a field of progress. The further away you move from MERU – the more evolved the experience becomes. Thus the final stage of the spiritual evolution “registers” on and within the Southern Continent – the region furthest away from MERU – and yet when brought to its crowning conclusion in the ADI being right in the centre of MERU. There is a theory that a line of force exists from the centre of the SUN to the centre of the EARTH – without going through space as you know it. The contact is immediate. So if you take this as a simile you will come to understand the importance and implication of Jambu-dvipa – your human world! It is far, far away from the exalted realms of Mount MERU, and yet the divine impulse of your deepest heart guides you to MERU – the highest and innermost acme of all evolution, without you having to move an inch from the world you live in. We send our love and congratulations to your partner in spirit, who in this tremendous soaring flight of her Soul was able to grasp the Divine Message of Kuan-Yin, the most beautiful and awe-inspiring ever! You are fortunate indeed, to have shared this experience in a manner that is unique – being simultaneous and all-encompassing – and yet, Transcending your very faculties as an incarnate human being. This vision will bring Blessing on you and all mankind, as Kuan-Yin’s message – in its Real Essence – goes beyond the world of men and Jambu-dvipa! We rejoice with you in a task well accomplished.
